A peer support group for graduates of Taking It Lightly, Taking It Lightly—Renewal and Vets Journey Home.
Wednesday evenings from 7:00–8:30 pm at the Center for Creative Learning are an opportunity for you to brighten your light. The first, second and fourth (and rare fifth) Wednesday is a peer support group, facilitated by Margaret Pofahl. The third Wednesday of each month is Reiki Sharing.
The essential component of Brighten Your Light gatherings is the sharing of experiences, thoughts and emotions with peers in a supportive environment, and receiving support for continuing your healing journey in the present. Whether you “remove another boulder from the stream” through process work or review the concepts and principles you learned on your weekend, the goal is to create safety, integration and self-determination to further improve your life situation.
Reiki Sharings offer the opportunity to learn more about energy work and, through the exchange of reiki, experience more life energy and the mind-body-spirit connection.
There is no charge for these evening gatherings. Donations are optional and much appreciated. Brighten Your Light is part of the continuum of care the Center offers to grads as a means of strengthening their skills for making their lives and the world a safer place.
Pre-registration is helpful, and drop-ins are always welcome!
Next offered: None scheduled at this time. View a list of all course offerings
“The peer support at Brighten Your Light has been very beneficial to me. My eyes have been opened up to a new way of seeing things. It's good to know I am not alone in the world!!”
—Gretchen Henry
“Brighten Your Light gives me the opportunity to be heard without having to deal with the filters in my life. Communicating in relationships, whether they be with a spouse, children, co-workers or a boss, is difficult because of these filters, which coupled with fear prevent us from expressing our true feelings. Brighten Your Light allows us to walk through the fear and realize that we can safely express our feelings and emotions with those around us so that we can get what we truly want.”
—Mike Rutila
